There were multiple quality frames to choose from and Donnie had good gear to borrow in a pinch. He helped explain the route in great detail well before I started on the ride. If you are looking for renting bikes during your stay in Maui, I highly recommend renting from Maui Cyclery. Bike quality was great but also the customer experience was far better than in other bike shop in the neighbourhood. They took the time to adjust the bikes and make sure they were in perfect condition.

They were super accommodating as the weather changed, make sure the bikes fit us perfectly, gave us tips for the ride etc etc. Bikes were in perfect condition, gears were great for the ride, and bike came w a repair kit, helmet, co2, and tube to borrow. Definitely use them for your rentals, they also have a lot of cool maui cyclery-branded gear if in search of souvenirs! Will be back soon 🌋

The friendly owner helped us out with a couple bikes last minute and advised us on a route to do with the remaining time we had on the island.  He dropped everything and took care of us. Meet Our Owner

My name is Donnie Arnoult, and I own the Maui Cyclery bike store and Go Cycling Maui Tours.

My passion and experience with bicycles go back to 1969 when I started riding my Schwinn Stingray without training wheels. I also began riding a motorcycle soon after the training wheels came off my bike, so I have always had a passion for two-wheeled vehicles. I raced motocross and some BMX from 1973 until 1983. In 1985, I began road bicycle racing. My motivation to bicycle race grew quickly, and shortly after I began road racing, I found track and mountain bike racing to be just as exciting.

I continued racing in all three disciplines until the end of 1990, when I took a break from racing for a few years. However, I continued to ride to maintain fitness, and I started racing the mountain bike again in 1994 and the road in 1995.

Also, in 1995, I began to promote cycling and running events in Las Vegas, Nevada. In 1997, I started an elite cycling team and was the team director of Sportif for three years. I enjoyed promoting the sport of cycling through events and the team.

At the end of 1999, I decided to move to Maui, stopped promoting events, and let the team dissolve. Once settled in Maui, I began riding the bike more than ever. Riding in this fascinating place inspired me to get out on the bike and explore the island, leading me to the concept of “Go Cycling Maui” tours.
